William R. Andersen, CFA
Prior to founding the firm and between the years of 1985 and 2003, Mr. Andersen worked at Driehaus Capital Management, where among other roles, he served both as a Portfolio Manager and as the Chief Investment Officer/International of Driehaus’ international division. During this time, Mr. Andersen built an investment team which managed over $2.0 billion in assets among multiple international/global asset classes, including small cap, large cap and emerging markets. The portfolios managed by Mr. Andersen beginning in 1990 were among the first to focus on identifying superior growth companies internationally and were among the earliest investors in Russia and Eastern Europe following the fall of Communism. Clients included Frank Russell Trust Company, the State of Oregon Public Retirement System, the State of Ohio Retirement System, Southern California Edison and the University of Notre Dame. He also served on the firm’s Management Committee. Mr. Andersen left Driehaus in 2003.
Mr. Andersen has also served as a member of the Lake Forest (IL) Fireman’s Pension Board and as President of the District 67 (Lake Forest) School Board. Mr. Andersen earned a B.A. degree in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. In addition, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Mr. Andersen grew up in Seattle and currently lives with his wife in Lake Forest, Illinois. They have three grown children.
Roger L. Johnson
Roger co-founded Western Pacific Investment Advisers, LLC (a different firm), and served for 14 years as its President. The firm was sold in September 2007. In 2008, he founded Summa Global Advisors, LLC, which he subsequently sold to the employees. He left the firm on December 31, 2020. Roger was recognized as one of Bloomberg’s “Top Wealth Managers” while leading each firm.
Roger is a ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate of Gonzaga University, with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Business Administration, Military Science and Philosophy. Upon graduation, as a Regular Army 2nd Lieutenant, he completed the Officer Basic Course, Basic Airborne and Jumpmaster Course, Army Communications Course, and the US Army Special Warfare School (MATA). He served as a combat Infantry Officer (Airborne) in Vietnam. Military assignments included Rifle Platoon Leader and Assistant Battalion S-3 (Operations) in the 101st Airborne Division, Battalion Advisor for the South Vietnamese Army (MACV), General’s Aide de Camp, and as a Company Commander. Captain Johnson was awarded numerous combat medals, including the Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Air Medal, Vietnamese Gallantry Cross, and Campaign Medals.
Roger has served as a board member on numerous civic and political organizations throughout his career, including serving for a number of years as a Member of the Board of Directors of a NASDAQ listed company.
A fourth generation Oregonian, Roger resides in Bend, Oregon, with his wife Wendy. They have two daughters, 4 grandchildren and are active in a number of outdoor sports activities.
